How To Lose Weight Fast, Easy And Safe

‘Weight loss’….two simple words that can be equated to improbable, impossible, difficult and unlikely. It’s sad, but it’s true and it really shouldn’t be that way, because weight loss is really the result of ‘self’….self respect self control and self awareness. Without self respect and self control, weight loss is probably most easily achieved through anorexia. Weight loss, if that is your goal, can do more than show on your outer self; it can firm up your inner self as well.

It’s never too late to start losing weight. I realize that this is a sensitive subject to some, but it’s a health issue. People who are obese are risking their lives. First of all, set a reasonable and achievable goal as a first step. If you want to lose 50 pounds, don’t say “I’m going to accomplish that in a week”, because the odds are you are going to fail. So be practical, be reasonable and achieve your goal….win, because you’ll be winning for yourself.

Next you have to look around and take stock of yourself and your surroundings. Is that pack of chocolate covered donuts very close to you, and very reachable as you watch the news? Does the hockey game seem more natural with a beer and chips? Become aware of all the things that are contributing to your weight gain…..because without weight gain, you wouldn’t have any need for weight loss.

Finally, ‘self control’. Are you stronger than a donut? Would that bowl of chips call you “stupid and weak” if it could talk? Who’s boss in your household….you or desert? If you don’t have an ‘ounce’ of self control, of inner strength in yourself, how do you ever expect to lose ‘pounds’?

All the things that are causing you to need to lose weight are wonderful. Don’t blame them for being bad, because they’re good…at least they taste good. However if you truly want to lose weight you have to recognize that all those wonderful delights that make you need to lose weight, are indeed wonderful, but you are more wonderful and far more important.
